AOL has launched a new site focused on the location of famous pop culture landmarks from music, film and television.
Where It's At, features photos and background stories on why the landmarks are famous. The site is powered by MapQuest and allows users to submit landmarks that are not already included on the map.
Users can explore locations by themes including music, TV and films along with regions and cities such as the Pacific Northwest, New England and New York. Clicking on a yellow map marker opens a window with the address and pictures of the location along with a brief summary about the landmark.

"Where It's At is the ultimate pop culture treasure map that we get to build together with our audience," said Bill Crandall, vice president, AOL Music.
"We created a powerful online consumer experience that encourages our audience to embrace landmarks around the country that have become iconic experiences. We are very excited to be bringing whereitsat.com to pop culture enthusiasts everywhere."
Among the landmarks to explore is the real "Hotel California," the hospital from "Grey's Anatomy" and Napoleon Dynamite's high school. All the points are plotted on the map so users can create their own themed tours.
Where It's At is part of AOL's plan to launch 30-targeted sites this year in an effort to attract more users and create deeper engagement.
