Twellow Gets a Makeover

Check Out the Redesigned Yellow Pages for Twitter

Twellow has undergone a big redesign, and now has a cleaner look with a convenient tabbed browsing format.

If you are unfamiliar with Twellow, think about it as a yellow-pages service for finding people on Twitter.  You can search for things or browse the directory to find people who tweet about the topics you are interested in. This is a WebProNews service.

"We've been working extra hard over the last few weeks to bring a new look and feel to the "Twitter yellow pages", as well as prepare Twellow for new features to come," it says on the home page. Let us know your thoughts on the new design via Twitter (or the comments below).

Twellow Redesign

Apart from the general redesign, there are a few changes. First, you'll notice the addition of the "Tweets about Twellow" box where you can easily see what people are saying about the service in real time.

Browsing listings has gotten a little more compact. You can now use the "more info" button to expand the content for any user you wish to see.

David Lynch - Remove

Follow buttons now turn to a green "remove" button when you are following someone, so it's a little easier to see who you are following when you're logged in.

"Having a clean and pleasant look has been on our to do list for a while now, and I'm sure our users will agree this new look is a big improvement," Twellow Lead Developer Matthew Daines tells me.

For the record, Daines points out that the design is optimized for Firefox. He also notes that Twitter itself has a few little cosmetic tweaks that only work in Firefox.

Nice Change

I like the new look. It has a more fun and interesting appeal.

The Makeover is very clean

The Makeover is very clean and pleasing to the eyes. I think they (twello) is trying to present a better user experience. On the right track to entice people to stay on their site longer and to come back.
