Yahoo Music is doing its best "come one, come all" carnival barker imitation.  Starting tomorrow, existing Artist Pages will be customizable with modules from iTunes, Amazon, Last.fm, Rhapsody, Pandora, and YouTube, and more exciting stuff is on the way, too. 

In an email to WebProNews, a Yahoo representative explained, "While we are starting with a limited initial set of content choices in this first phase of our rollout, we will open up to any music content on the Web in the near future."

Social features should launch before long, as well, and as a self-publishing option is introduced, established artists may choose to add their own content.  Or up-and-comers can use Yahoo Music to say "hi" to the world.  It should be possible for fans to get anything and everything they want in one place.

You can thank the Yahoo Open Strategy for this push beyond traditional, proprietary stuff.  According to Jeff Dossett, senior vice president of Yahoo's North America Audience Group, "Yahoo! is focused on attracting and engaging the largest online audience and connecting each individual to the people and experiences that matter most to them."

The company looks poised to have a lot of luck in this endeavor.  We'll see how people respond to Yahoo Music's new Artist Pages tomorrow.
