"We think that you should be able to access your favorite web apps with the same ease and simplicity as desktop applications," says a post on the Google Docs Blog. "Today, we took one small step in that direction."

Gladinet has similar
Gladinet has similar capability to integrate Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs/Picasa into Windows Desktop. You can define login credentials outside the browser in safecards.
There is a tighter Google Docs/Picasa inegration with Gladinet in two ways:
(1) You can mount Google Docs as a local virtual folder
(2) You can right click a local word document and edit with Google Docs. After you are done, you can save it back to local folder.
Picasa works same way as virrtual folder with Gladinet. You can upload pictures from Computer A, then goto Computer B and double click on the picture in the mounted Picasa virtual folder and edit your picture directly from Computer B with PaintShop or any picture editing tools.
