this is crazy .. i can't wait to test this
Google is rolling out an update for the T-Mobile G1 in the US starting this week. With this update, users will be able to use their voices for searching. The feature will be integrated into the Android browser and the home screen search widget.
To use the voice search function:
1. On the home screen search widget, look for the microphone button next to the search box and search button (as pictured below).
2. Press the button and wait for the "speak now" prompt.
3. Say your query, and you'll see results formatted for Android.
You can also get to the microphone button anytime you're in the Android browser by pressing the "menu" button and tapping "search."

"This makes doing successive voice-triggered searches -- and mobile web surfing -- easy and fast," says Software Engineer Jeff Hamilton on the Android Team. "Try speaking your favorite web sites, then tapping on the top search results to get to them."
Hamilton also notes that you can use the "voice dialer" app to search for your contacts with your voice when you want to call somebody. If what you say isn't recognized correctly, you can tap the down arrow to the right of the search box to you'll find a list of suggest queries.
