Innovation is what drove, and what's still driving, Google forward.
Google said today that it is introducing a new look to its Webmaster Help Group.

Specifically Google is giving its English and Polish Help Groups a makeover. It says the new forums will make it easier for users to find answers, share resources with each other and have their participation acknowledged.
What will happen to the old English and Polish Help Groups? The Webmaster Central Blog offers the answer.
"While our old groups are now closed to new posts, they will still be available in read-only mode in case you want to reference any of your favorite posts from the good old days. Many of the most frequently-asked questions (and answers!) have already been transferred to our new Help Forums."

Google says members of the old group will not be automatically transferred to the new forum. Users will need to join the new forum to participate.
Also "Nicknames and user profiles are also managed separately, so you're welcome to recreate your Google Groups profile in our new forum, or reinvent yourself."
Google will be rolling out the new Webmaster Help Groups in other languages in 2009 and will announce specific dates as it gets closer to launch.
