The series will feature eight morning breakfast panels with leaders from politics, entertainment and the media. The public forums will be available online at politico.com and Yahoo News.

"The 2008 election is providing one of the most compelling political storylines in recent history, and the conventions will undoubtedly be among the most important chapters," said Alan Warms, vice president and general manager of Yahoo! News.

"Our newsmaker breakfast series will provide a fresh perspective from this year's cast of political players and give Yahoo! users a unique peek behind the curtain of America's electoral process."

The panels will be moderated by editors from Politico and the local host newspapers The Denver events will be held August 25-28, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at the Denver Athletic Club. The St.Paul events will be held September 1-4, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

"Just about every election, Minnesota is at or near the top for voter turnout in the nation. So, here we have the opportunity to add to the political discussion for a savvy, civically engaged populace," said Thom Fladung, editor of The Pioneer Press.
