Alaska Airlines has introduced a "Low Fare Calendar" search option on its Web site that displays the least expensive fare available for a selected destination.
When searching for a reservation online users choose their dates of travel and the Low Fare Calendar search option. A calendar view shows travelers the lowest fare available for their destination for each remaining day of that month.
Customers can search for one-way or round-trip flights and then filter the results to show first class fares only. A trip summary table calculates the total fare. The Low Fare Calendar is also available for booking flights to Mexico and with Alaska Airline's partners, results are shown for a three-day period.
"With Low Fare Calendar, we are making it easier for our customers to find the best price available for the days they want to travel," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience.
"We have always had some of the lowest fares in the industry. This tool gives customers a reason to shop first with Alaska Airlines because they can see our lowest fares across a range of dates at a glance."
