Everyone's favorite (or mine at least) online DVD rental provider Netflix has signed a new deal with Logo, a cable channel owned by MTV Networks that specializes in gay and lesbian-themed programming.
According to Variety, under the deal Netflix will exclusively distribute 3 shows via its rental service.
In exchange, Logo will promote Netflix on the channel, and on it's 36gay.com and NewNowNext.com websites.
The deal leaves open the possibility for further Logo programming distribution via Netflix of course.
There is no word yet on whether or not the programs will be available through Netflix's "Watch Now" feature, as they are still working on expanding that, or through it's recently launched Roku player.
It will be interesting to see if competitors, namely Blockbuster begin strking up similar deals in it's ongoing quest for online video rental domination.
Logo shows that Netflix will distribute include: "Curl Girls", "Visible Vote '08: A Presidential Forum", and "Wisecrack".
Financial terms have not yet been announced.
