Firefox 3 should arrive in JuneThe browser maker wants to set a Guinness World Record when the next version of Firefox becomes available for users.
It doesn't seem like Firefox 2 arrived from Mozilla all that long ago. Now that we've got to know it a little bit, the time for change will be here soon. That could include a record-setting level of download activity, tool.
Mozilla certainly hopes it does. To promote Firefox 3, and perhaps earn a spot alongside some high achievers, they are seeking participants in their Firefox 3 Download Day.
On a date to be determined, Mozilla will try to pull in a world record number of downloaders for the newest browser, in a 24-hour period. The Download Day website shows how many people have pledged to do a download per country.
Speedier, safer performance along with new features will be part of the Firefox 3 browser. Barring any late changes, the Download Day event should happen in June, with record verification by Guinness requiring about a week of time, Mozilla said.

It works for me...
I've been using Firefox 3 since february. It works great for me, but I have had some problems with extensions being incorrectly labeled as being compatible. This shouldn't be an issue now that Firefox is out of Beta.
The interface is a little different. For the first couple of weeks I hated the "Awesome bar", but now that I'm used to it, I find it slightly preferable to the older one.
Firefox 2
Firefox 2 was so horrible that I deleted it and went back to Netscape. If Firefox 3 is as terrible as Firefox 2; who in their mind would want to download it?
Firefox 3 bugs
I'm beta-testing the new Firefox 3 and it has bugs galore.
It freezes every 30 minutes and the only way to re-access the program is to completely restart the system. Major bummer! I also has some font issues that are merely aesthetic, but still ...
Anyone else experience this???
The new version does offer a really cool click-and-drag feature that copies the image you selected. This helps me out a lot as I am constantly dragging watermarked images into my designs before shelling out Getty prices.
