Segway, the two-wheel electronic scooter has launched its own social network for Segway owners.
The new site called Segway Social allows users to set up a profile, create discussion groups, share photos, read news and do calculations to find out about their carbon and money savings using a Segway.
"After listening to customer feedback," said Carol Valianti, vice president of global communications, "it was clear that the Segway community wanted, and needed this tool. Our goal is to foster growth and communication in an already exuberant and growing fan community."
Segway Social also offers users a map where they can view routes, places and groups. Each indicator is in a different color and features a zoom level slider in the upper-right corner.
