Google Ad Review Center Expands

Ideas for those who can access it

If the Ad Review Center hasn't been enabled on your AdSense account, you can either consider this article a preview or completely irrelevant - read on or click back as you please.  But the Center's availability has been expanded, and Google wants publishers to know what it's all about.

Google AdReview Is Growing
ski.com.au Approves Of Ad Review Center

On the Inside AdSense Blog, Katie Mandel relayed quotes from one of the feature's earliest users.  Richard Tribe, the director of ski.com.au, said "[T]he Ad Review Center allowed me to see who was targeting my site . . . .  The Ad Review Center is a great way of managing the quality and style of advertiser you would like to have associated with your publication."

Mandel also noted, "To highlight specific inventory, Richard has turned his custom channels into ad placements.  For instance, he found that his live camera feeds of snow conditions drove significant advertiser interest, so he created specific snow camera ad placements."

If this sort of thing sounds interesting, yet you're not sure whether the Ad Review Center has been enabled on your account, navigate over to the "AdSense Setup" tag and visit the "Competitive Ad Filter" page.  A green notification box will let you know if there's anything new (and its absence will let you know if there's not).

One last note: if there's no green box right now, don't give up.  The rollout is supposed to continue over the next few weeks.
