Google Announces Urchin Software Now Public
Thank you for this clarification.
Urchin
It seems like forever since this was in the works. I didn't think it would cost 3k though. That seems a little steep for the average webmaster to take advantage of. I guess we just stick to Analytics. Can anyone else suggest a very feature packed traffic software that is a one time purchase?
Two Options
You have two workable options:
1) Buy a subscription for easy-to-use and comprehensive software with automatic e-mailing of the reports and live tech support.
2) Buy a package, and $9.95/month subscription in addtion to it with e-mail support.
I used both options and I like them. Depending on what you are looking for in a term of statistics, you may want use one of these options.
Now, regarding the "buy once and forget". I tried several packages (at least 5 of them), and none of them worked to my satisfaction. The biggest problem is the technical support. When you have a subscription, the company pays a lot more attention to your problems because they want you to continue the subscription. When you buy the package only, you are on your own with your problems. All you can get is Q&A section on the web site or some sort of blog where the users (!) are helping each other.
Review both options from RTEK2000.com. The first one (my first choice) is called WebStatsAdvisor, and the second one is WebCEO 7.7.
Best of luck!
