Who knows how it happened. Maybe the stars aligned. Maybe somebody hacked the system. Maybe whoever's in charge of the images that appear on the giant video screens in the middle of an Iranian street is about to be in big, big trouble.

BoingBoing reports that the massive video screens in Karaj, Iran showed "porn pics" for about 10 minutes before being shut down. The link provided to ITIran.com appears not to work anymore, and that may be because Iranian police were reportedly arresting people for linking to the video captured (seemingly) by a camera phone or similar device.

Thankfully for us, there's YouTube. But it's not porn, depending on your definition, it just appears to be naked women – giant, naked Great Satan women. That's kind of against YouTube's terms and conditions too, though, so I wouldn't imagine it would stay up for too long, once word gets out…but maybe.

It's not clear, either, how the video made it on to YouTube, as the video-sharing site is banned in Iran, and in much of the Middle East.  Though the decency police were apparently not amused, whoever recorded the video -- and those standing around -- very much were.
