This guy's going to get razzed for a month; they'll probably call him "Trigger" in Redmond from here on out. Microsoft's Akram Hussein, program manager for Windows Live Platform, was supposed to tell everybody about the new Live Search features at the Searchification event later. Doh!
Guess he got a little excited, or got a bad case of the blogorrhea.
Hussein's blog post has since been pulled, with his blushing apologies, according to CNet, but there's always somebody on the Internet to say "Still got it!"
That snarky somebody appears to be Kip Kniskern at Live.net, who has screenshots and quotes. Among the interesting revelations:
- Product searches will include product details as well as product reviews from around the web in the search results.
- A celebrity search page that ranks the current popularity of any given celebrity – their "celebrity xRank."
- Video previews operated by mouse-over in the search results.
If you want to know the rest, you're going to have to hold Akram down and purple nurple him until he talks.
