AOL picked up a partnership with a search site that isn't named Google, as their Truveo video search adds to Kosmix results for health, auto, and travel queries.
Kosmix will go the API route with Truveo to pull in video results for the RightHealth website. RightHealth is Kosmix's beta test of a health-dedicated resource site.
Queries for medical conditions will drive available video results to the right side of the RightHealth page. Behind the scenes, developers used Truveo's APIs to connect to video search results."
"Kosmix took the APIs and developer tools one step further. Kosmix users simply see the results while the search process is hidden from them," Truveo co-founder and CEO Tim Tuttle said in a statement.
We've liked Truveo ever since it emerged in 2005. It has evolved into a search product that can stand toe to toe with Google and other search companies.
