McGraw Relaunches Science Site

McGraw-Hill Professional has announced the relaunch of AccessScience, an online science and technology encyclopedia for students, researchers and professionals.

The AccessScience platform offers 8,500 online articles and 13, 000 illustrations with full text search capability, along with tools to make work easier, such as email forwarding, and saved image collections.

AccessScience also offers users research updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks of Science and Technology, over 110,000 definitions from the dictionary of scientific and technical terms, bibliographies with over 28,000 literature citations, content from more than 5,000 researchers along with biographies of 2,000 well-known scientists.

"This second generation of AccessScience underscores McGraw-Hill Professional's commitment to covering the latest scientific developments as they happen," said Scott Grillo, vice president, Digital Product Development for McGraw-Hill Professional.

The new version of AccessScience has a new semantic search engine that gathers large amounts of information, and organizes it to offer users access to articles in all major areas of science and technology. The site also offers RSS feeds, Flash animations, image galleries, podcasts and videos.
