Video sharing site Dailymotion, said today that an iPhone compatible version of the site is now available.
The new portal has a simplified graphic user interface and Quicktime compatible encoding for viewing Dailymotion's online video through the iPhone's Safari Web browser.
The new site will offer Dailymotion features including access to highlighted and top-rated content along with Dailymotion channels, newly added video and submissions from the MotionMaker program that flags and rewards popular contributors to the site.
Users can also perform keyword searches for the sites original and licensed video. Results appear as thumbnail images that feature a play icon that can be tapped on the iPhone's touch screen to launch the video in full screen view.
"Dailymotion is committed to providing the best entertainment experience possible," said Dailymotion Co-founder and CTO Olivier Poitrey. "The launch of the iPhone portal is both a continuance and a reinforcement of our goal to bring our superior video content and viewing technology to new devices and broader audiences."
