AOL Redesigns Game Site

AOL has redesigned its video game publication site GameDaily to offer users a number of improved features.

The revamped site, available in beta offers new community features, more search and browsing capability, faster downloads, improved video and better access to video and video game cheat codes.

The site also offers advertisers the ability to launch rich media, category sponsorships and targeting, along with campaigns on the expanded network of GameDaily including Joystiq, Endgadget and Fanboy Network.

"This relaunch underscores our ongoing efforts to further position GameDaily as the convergence point of pop culture and gaming," said Ralph Rivera, vice president and general manager of AOL Games.

"The new site offers a more streamlined user experience, as well as a more compelling and attractive buy for advertisers."

Features that are new to the site include allowing users to rate, share, tag and comment on articles, videos and cheat codes. Users can also search five different ways to find information on video games.

In the coming months, AOL says its has plans to retool the GameDaily Biz newsletter.
