Photobucket has announced the launch of the Photobucket Media Plug-in 2.0, an enhanced version if its image and video hosting plug-in.

The Photobucket Media Plug-in offers a way for developers to have access to a large collection of media assets. It allows users on other Web sites to search for stored photos, videos and images from Photobuckets library without leaving partner sites.

Users of partner sites will be able to search for content to upload and share on their own sites. Partner Web sites that embed the plug-in will see users spending more time on their sites.
