AOL Video says Merry Christmas to customers of their online video service by giving away free movies.

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, AOL Video announced that it will give away free movie downloads on Saturday.

AOL Video is offering a one-day only Christmas gift to customers in the form of their choice of a shiny new free movie download, with 30 titles to choose from.

This Saturday, anyone wishing to obtain a free movie from AOL Video may simply log onto to the site and choose from several seasonal titles, including "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas", and "A Christmas Story".

Not a fan of Christmas movies? AOL kept you in mind with titles that are not holiday-related, such as "Spiderman 2", which will also be available for your downloading pleasure.

Get up early, because free movie downloading will begin at 6:00 am Eastern time and there is a one download per person limit.

However, there is no limit set on the number of downloads per computer, so don't fret if a Scrooge in your family downloads a movie you dislike.

Competitors of the site have not announced plans to offer any similar type of Christmas specials, which may mean future business and big publicity for AOL Video.

Since movies downloaded on AOL Video typically cost between $9.99 and $19.99, the site seems to be handing out substantial gifts this Christmas.
