Crank Calls Support Computer Lab

Comedian Lee Roy Mercer's NASCALLS CD sales will benefit Jayski's Computer Lab at the Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with health problems.

Victory Junction is a non-profit organization, and part of the Association of Hole in the Wall Gang camps founded by Paul Newman. The camp for children ages 7-15 with serious or chronic illnesses hosts Jayski's Computer Lab, where the campers can learn about website development.

Part of the Lab's and the Camp's theme incorporates NASCAR news and events. That theme also serves as the background for Mercer's NASCALLS CD.

The CD features Mercer making crank calls to a number of NASCAR drivers. He has managed to get under the skin of Rusty Wallace, Ryan Newman, Kevin Harvick, and very notably, Tony Stewart, and captured it in all of its digital goodness.

Those drivers, as well as NASCAR owners and crew chiefs, have agreed to donate 100 percent of their royalties to the Computer Lab, while Mercer will also contribute a portion of royalties too.

The Victory Junction camp is located in Randleman, NC, and primarily serves children in North Carolina, South Carolina & Virginia. It operates year-round and eligible children attend at no cost.
