Yahoo Gives Danny Sullivan Button Share

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook

The portal company has offered an enhancement for Internet users, and it comes after some prompting from search engine expert Sullivan on his blog.

Yahoo has made a new feature available for people who use its My Web service. The 'Save To My Web' share is a simple button that can be added to a web site. Clicking the button saves that content to the pages stored on My Web 2.0, Yahoo's Matt McAlister posted on the Y! Search Blog:

For bloggers and publishers, it's a great way to distribute content to a larger community of connected users and make your pages instantly searchable on Yahoo! Just copy and paste this code into your blog templates anywhere and everywhere you want the button to appear on your pages.
Content creators who implement the button, and there's bound to be quite a few as Yahoo has tens of millions of users, can customize it like any of Yahoo's Social Media Tools. More details on those and customization options can be found online.

Interested in trying it out? Here's a button that will let you save this article to My Web (existing Yahoo account or new account creation needed):

yactions.buildButton( 'save', 'My_Web' );
