Software firm Bingo Bango has made its Elicit blog client available, which can help manage a number of blogs from one interface.
The $59 Elicit client has a look and feel similar to Microsoft Outlook, particularly with its calendar function. Elicit allows bloggers to create multiple blog entries, draw content from various online sources, and schedule content uploads.
Elicit also incorporates ad integration into the blog creation process. Ads from Amazon's affiliate program or Chitika's Blog Context program will be available within the Elicit interface.
The program includes a visual editor for creating blog entries. A variety of sources like Google News and Flickr can be docked within the Elicit toolbars. These docklets' allow for dragging and dropping content into the editor for use.
In the site's About section, where CEO Eric Griffin's story about forming Atlanta-based BingoBangoSoftware appears, they make a third-person reference to successful blogging, and it makes a good closing point here:
Studying the most popular blogs he discovered the pattern of successful bloggers: write great content for your target readers and publish it often (250 words, 3 times a day). That pattern of frequent, targeted content creation attracted both readers and the search engines.
