If you've got the design panache, Blogads.com is looking to bloggers to design a new logo for them. Corporate suits need not apply, however, they're looking for a more human, user-generated blogospheric feel. If they pick your design, they'll pony up $1000.
"We need an incarnation of blogging's hand-crafted joy and social richness," reads the announcement posted by Henry Copeland.
The contest appears to a stab at the perceived soullessness of corporately generated "inhuman" logos, and intends to tap the unruly, creative, and "transparent" talent stirring quietly in the expanse of the blog community.
The contest is a purist's attempt to dissolve the lines between producers and consumers, readers and writers.
"I hope to practice what I preach. As I travel around evangelizing blogs to advertisers, I increasingly return to a few simple ideas. The lattice is stronger than the ladder. The hive surpasses the hierarchy. Business is a conversation," Copeland said.
Blogads.com will be accepting logos until September 9th and posting select creations by September 14th for comments.
