SBC and Yahoo! added a few more steps to their corporate tango launching a new online music service today, making Yahoo! Music Unlimited more, well, unlimitedas unlimited as 7 bucks a month gets you anyway.
The service is available is available for less, on a yearly basis, for $60 to SBC Yahoo! Internet service customers.
From a library of over 1 million songs, SBC Yahoo! offers songs a la carte for 79 cents, a 20 cent discount for subscribers.
Yahoo! has been a deal making machine lately, launching a new DSL service with Verizon this week. The second most popular search portal also began plumbing the insatiable Japanese music download market this week by offering up free streaming songs to promote CD sales.
After Apple iTunes exploded in the Japanese online music scene, drawing 1 million downloads in just four days, other companies are looking to follow suit.
