A beta version of the company's Enterprise RSS Services Platform offers a customizable experience to businesses.
RSS goes Brooks Brothers, with a buttoned-down corporate version of Rocketinfo's platform for creating, managing, and distributing RSS content being made available in a beta version.
The new product, Enterprise RSS Services Platform, also includes the Rocket RSS Reader. Businesses will be able to use the platform to provide RSS feeds to customers, basing those feeds on specific search criteria. Those feeds can provide content from Rocketinfo's 16,000 news sources and 70,000 blogs.
According to the Rocketinfo web site, the company feels RSS has become the superior way to deliver information in a cost-efficient manner to customers. Rocketinfo notes in a press release that they have incorporated various security features into the Enterprise product, for use behind the corporate firewall.
Administrators can implement authentication methods, and set access controls by individual or group criteria. The platform provides admins the tools they would need to monitor and measure RSS usage.
The Enterprise platform can handle RSS versions 0.91, 1.0, and 2.0, and Atom 0.3 and 1.0 feeds. Proprietary and/or subscription content can be integrated into the RSS feeds a business provides via the platform.
