Also, the California State University system will use Cdigix to provide digital entertainment services on its campuses.

The new math says 10 + 23 = 1. That's ten University of California campuses, plus 23 CalState campuses, adding up to one digital entertainment and education provider, Colorado-based Cdigix.

Cdigix announced in a statement that it has agreed to provide four services to those California education systems:

 • Ctrax, which has a library of over 1.5 million songs legally available for download; it also provides a "tethered" download service of music to digital media players,
 • Cflix, for distribution of video from content providers like ESPN and the Cartoon Network,
 • Clabs, an educational media platform,
 • Cvillage, a service for distributing campus media and hosting social interaction features

"Cdigix will be a valuable partner for campuses instituting online entertainment programs because of its wide range of content and services, its exclusive focus on the college marketplace, and its proven track record working with premier universities across the nation," said David Walker, Director of Advanced Technology for the University of California, in the statement.
