Wall Of Thanks Debuts Online

President Bush said to troops in Iraq, "Thanks for your service." With Memorial Day approaching, millions of Americans can do the same online.

According to a press release, a new web site - ThanksForYourService.org - was launched today featuring a powerful virtual Wall of Thanks.

Anyone, regardless of their politics and without charge, can post messages in their own words or with pictures expressing their appreciation to our troops by saying "Thanks for your service."

"This site is intended to give us all an opportunity to make a personal statement of thanks-which I feel is much more important and meaningful than even saying 'I support the troops,'" said John Aslanian, one of the co-founders of the Web site.

The Wall of Thanks is intended to stand permanently in tribute and to continue to say "Thanks for your service" to every American veteran and fallen hero.

The Internet has opened many opportunities for Americans to help demonstrate their support for armed forces serving overseas as the war on terror continues. Sites like Adopt A Platoon or the AAFES prepaid card site allow for even more direct support from Americans to the troops.
