Macromedia Makes Conferencing A Breeze

Company announces major release of its collaboration software today, touting its web communication features.

Macromedia Breeze 5 couples its widespread Flash player with users who want to create online meetings or view presentations.

"With Macromedia Breeze 5, we're taking off the gloves and showing the industry the way web communications should be done," said Stephen Elop, CEO of Macromedia.

Features of the new release include Voice over IP and real-time video conferencing. Flash players on Windows, Microsoft, and Linux platforms will allow users to utilize Breeze on existing systems.

Breeze is available now as a hosted option, or companies may license the software beginning on May 31st.
