Berkshire Hathaway's board of directors has both of the world's two richest men on it since Bill Gates became part of it.
Berkshire chief executive Warren Buffett who has been friends with Gates for years is more than happy to have him aboard.
Gates was elected to Berkshire's board in December. He took the place of Buffett's wife suffered a stroke and passed away in July. On Saturday, Gates was voted in for another term.
"With Bill you've got one of the best minds in the world. He's got a good business mind, and he is interested in things beyond business," Mr. Buffett said.
Buffett also compared having Gates on his board to having him as a trustee in a will.
"Any idea Bill has, believe me, I'll listen to," said Buffett. "He's not only a smart guy, he's a smart investor. Actually, our ideas on investment overlap to quite an extent, but I wish I still bought a little Microsoft when I first met him."
