Drudge: Bloggers Should Not Call Themselves Bloggers

Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report appeard on C-SPAN with Brian Lamb and discussed his distaste for the word BLOG.

You can see the video feed here.

At one point Drudge stated, "Bloggers Should Not Be Allowing themselves to be called bloggers ... It's a big mistake."

He also said:

"There is a lot of information being provided by individuals on the interent that is having a major impact on this town and it should be taken seriously and it shouldn't be a dismisive blog. ...I think blog is a negative term. They are indivuals on the internet living out their dreams."

It's interesting that the Drudge Report is often referred to as the single most popular blog on the internet. Of course, without allowing comments, is it really a blog?
