Huffington Shoots into the Blogosphere!

Political columnist and commentator Arianna Huffington plans to launch a new blog in May that includes hundreds of leaders and celebrities commenting regularly on the world today. The AP story said the former California gubernatorial candidate would include current news as well as the blog editorials from various people.

"The two most interesting things happening online are the news and the blogosphere and what we're doing here is bringing them together," Huffington told The Associated Press Monday.

She plans on getting contributions from sources as broad as Walter Cronkite, Rob Reiner and former Senator Gary Hart the reports said. There are no plans to edit the entries, including spelling mistakes.

"It will be people's voices, including people's spelling mistakes and idiosyncratic punctuation," Huffington said. "Authenticity always draws people."
