A reservations computer for United Airlines went down for 45 minutes today, causing the delay of 40 flights across the country.

The computer was out of service between 8:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

The airline did not disclose any details about where delays occurred or how long they lasted, but no flights were cancelled.
