Mamma.com Adds Auction to Pay-Per-Click Offering

DMNews reports meta-search engine Mamma.com has added an auction-based pricing tool to its Mamma Classifieds flat-rate pay-per-click search product.

DMNews: "Meta-search engine Mamma.com said yesterday that it added an auction-based pricing tool to its Mamma Classifieds flat-rate pay-per-click search product. Placement of advertisers on Mamma will remain in the top three positions, the Montreal company said, but advertisers now get a choice to bid or maintain a flat-rate price.

..."By limiting the number of advertisers on the results page, we also believe this directly increases the quality of exposure advertisers receive, as well as positively affecting the user experience on our page," president/CEO Guy Faure said in a statement. "Adjusting the keyword pricing to allow for flat-rate and auction-based pricing permits advertisers to select the system that best fits their individual needs.""
