Google Now More Valuable Than Yahoo

Google is now valued at $51 billion, which is $2 billion more than Yahoo, based on their NASDAQ valuations.

Google is up $.90 today as of this writing with a current stock price of $188.30 per share. Google's market cap is $51,070,700,000. The current Yahoo stock quote is $35.26 per share leaving Yahoo with a market cap of $47,973,900,000.

The conventional wisdom of analysts has been that Yahoo is worth more than Google because Yahoo is a bigger, more diverse and more profitable company. Investors however are clamoring for the shares because of promised growth by Google.

Since Google's recent quarterly filing many analysts have upgraded their ratings of the stock helping create a perfect storm of positive news for Google.
