Google Launches Local Search For Canada

An announcement on Google's blog reveals that the search engine has expanded their local search capabilities to include the Canadian provinces. The message appeared on the search engine's blog yesterday, September 21. The introduction of Google's Local Search Canada brings the all of the capabilities of personalized local searching to the Northern Country.

The Canadian expansion marks the second country to receive Google's Local Search product. This now means that anyone with Internet access in the North American continent can find goods and services in their local areas by conducting a web search.

According to the Google Local Search Canada FAQ, Canada and the United States are currently the only two countries with Google Local capabilities.
