Search engine Dogpile has released the latest version of its toolbar. According to a Dogpile representative, "the upgraded toolbar includes new functionality that provides even more timely and convenient access to users' personalized lists of RSS and Atom feeds."
The updates of Dogpile's toolbar center around the handling of feeds that users have subscribed to. Feed content can be scrolled across the toolbar in a number of ways. "The new version offers users the option of having the ticker automatically rotate through any or all of the feeds on their list or scroll a single feed at a time."
Besides the standard search engine toolbar options and the inclusion of the feed ticker, Dogpile's toolbar also includes Cursor Search. With Cursor Search, toolbar users can search any word in a web page or Word document by right clicking.
Another interesting feature not found on the other search toolbars is the SearchSpy. This feature allows users to "watch scrolling terms to see what people are searching for in real-time." If the content on SearchSpy isn't controllable, this feature may not be for all users.
