Digital communications agency Converseon has developed a search engine marketing solution designed for the publishing industry. The service is called PublishSEM.
"Our extensive experience working with top publishers demonstrated to us that there was a need for a more customized search solution that recognizes and addresses the unique challenges facing the publishing industry," said Robert J. Key, President & CEO of Converseon. "PublishSEM is designed specially to meet publisher needs and work efficiently and effectively within their structures to leverage the significant opportunities search offers."
With most of the publisher content being dynamic, attaining a desired search engine rankings can be difficult. Dynamic content is harder to spider because of its ever evolving web structure. Converseon's PublishSEM service utilizes a mix of paid placement, paid inclusion and natural optimization strategies in order to gain higher search result rankings.
According to ContentBiz, a top trade publication for online publishing executives, U.S. consumers spent more than $2.5 billion for online content in 2003 with significant market growth continuing.
Anne Holland, Publisher of ContentBiz, says, "search marketing is unusually difficult for online publishers because they tend to have thousands of harder-to-optimize dynamically-generated pages, a traditional church-and-state divide between editorial and marketing, and a very tight visitor acquisition budget."
