MSN Sets July Date For New Search Engine

Microsoft has reported that it will launch a new search engine for its MSN portal starting in July. MSN's goal is to challenge Google and Yahoo for search engine supremacy.

One of the major changes MSN has in mind is altering the appearance of their paid ads, as reported here. MSN's paid ads are provided by Overture.

Taking cues from Google, MSN is giving priority to the relevancy of search results. In order to bring more relevant results, MSN is improving the method in which their algorithms search and catalog the web.

Karen Redetzki, an MSN product manager offered, "We're much farther along in relevancy."
