Time Warner executives discussed the potential sale AOL with Microsoft in recent months, and Time Warner lawyers believe that antitrust issues will be minimal claims The New York Post.
Ed Adler, spokesman for AOL, told the Post "such speculation is silly and pointless."
The buy out talks stemmed from MSN's current involvement with AOL's content division, say the Post's undisclosed source.
