MSN Still Showing Looksmart Results

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook

Looksmart has entered a deal with Microsoft allowing MSN to at times display Looksmart results.

Under this new agreement, MSN will have full discretion in deciding when to display the results. Looksmart will continue to power some MSN directory listings for an indefinite time period.

"MSN and LookSmart worked together for five years to create a high-quality, scalable solution," a Looksmart representative told WebProNews. "It is reasonable to expect that MSN will need some period of time to get their new solution up to speed."

Last October, when MSN announced the "termination" of its agreement with Looksmart, the California-based company faced a staggering blow.

After losing the source of two-thirds of its revenue, Looksmart was soon forced to close its United Kingdom office. CEO Jason Kellerman stepped down and was replaced by Damian Smith.

Despite its hardships in the past and the unavoidable search engine competition that is to come, the company is keeping its positive outlook.

This week Looksmart announced it has now improved its financial outlook thanks to its recent solid growth rates.
