LookSmart released their revenue forecast for the first quarter on Thursday, March 11, 2004. They raised their first quarter revenue estimates from $16 to $21-$23 million.
LookSmart credits this increase to the growth of LookListings as well as reducing the company's overall cost structure. Increased partnership in LookSmart's Sponsored Search network has contributed to the growth of LookListings, as well as their recent agreement with Microsoft to continue providing LookSmart search results to MSN for periodic use at its discretion. LookSmart plans to provide second quarter and update its full year guidance when it announces first quarter earnings on April 29, 2004.
