Show, Don't Tell

Nothing gives candidates a better idea of your workplace than a quick tour of your office or facilities.

It's one thing to tell a candidate they'll be using state-of-the-art equipment. It's quite another to show them the desk where they might sit, and the actual machine they'll be using.

Once you show them, you're engaging their imagination. They can begin to picture themselves at the job. After they go home, they'll have visual memories of the benefits of working for you. Chances are good they'll remember everything you show them. They may not remember everything you tell them.

So take the time to walk around your work areas with candidates. Display the tools and resources they'll have access to. Introduce them to some of your existing employees so they can get a feel for the type of person who works at your company. Use everything you can to engage them during the recruitment process.
