IT'S TIME TO START APPLYING the bandages on Linux and Unix boxes, assuming that you are lucky enough to have a vendor which has released a patch. In one of the nastier vulnerabilities to appear for a long time from any vendor, news has hit that a S*n remote procedure call (RPCs) has a hole.
