Some say "curse words" are silly things to be afraid of, and as the years go by, it gets easier and easier for television and radio shows to use words once considered too taboo to be on-air. But the F-bomb is still a no-no, so when someone drops it on live t.v., it contains a certain amount of glee for us viewers.
When it's Tom Hanks, the beloved actor who won all our hearts as Forrest Gump, it's even better.
Hanks--who actually said "f**king" while doing an impression of his character from "Cloud Atlas"--later apologized via Twitter and said jokingly that he blamed the GMA staff.
"I slipped into a brand of acting. I have never done that before! I want to apologize to the kids of America who are watching right now. And let me say, next time I'm on the show there'll be seven-second delay! Never give me a handheld mic," he added. "I blame the staff! I blame the staff!"
For GMA, spesh kowtow for Lizzie V for WHAT DID I JUST SAY??? Oops! In character! Sorry! Hanx
