Tina Turner had a stroke?! That’s what the media has been reporting these days.

Earlier today, a story began circulating around the Web claiming that Turner had suffered a stroke at her home in Zurich, Switzerland. So, there’s been a lot of chatter and speculation about the 74-year-old singer’s health.

However, there’s one prominent public figure that has taken the initiative to diffuse the rumors with some clarity about the situation.

According to E! News, famed talk show host and media proprietor Oprah Winfrey has refuted the claim.

When a concerned fan asked Winfrey about the “Nutbush City Limits” singer’s health via Twitter, she responded with accurate information.

Ironically, Winfrey recently visited Zurich, Switzerland where Turner resides. An incident actually occurred where Winfrey was discriminated against when she inquired about a handbag the store clerk felt was too expensive for her liking. Obviously, the clerk had absolutely no idea who Winfrey was or how deep her pockets actually are!

But, nevertheless, Winfrey strategically diffused that situation as well. Instead of causing a public uproar over the blatant disrespect she’d received, she simply left the store without purchasing anything, as she felt the clerk didn’t deserve the commission. She later spoke of the various outcomes that could have occurred.

“There’s two different ways to handle it,” Oprah said. “I could’ve had the whole blow-up thing…but [racism] still exists, of course it does.”

Although the situation was quite discriminative, Winfrey also quipped about the issue via Twitter from a buoyant perspective. She tweeted, “Turns out the store clerk did me a favor. Just found out that bag was $38K!!! She was right I was NOT going to buy it.”

She came to her longtime friend’s defense, just as she did when she addressed her own situation. Winfrey’s tactful nature saves the day yet again!

She’s a race monger. Ever since she became famous she has used her power to stir the race pot causing an uproar anytime she has an opportunity. Get over it fat lady! Everyone feels bad about the way blacks were treated back in the day but that’s the way life was. The blacks were not unhappy either. Many had good lives caring for the whites etc………..Many didn’t have good lives of course but hey, that is the case today also. Look at yourself Miss rich lady. There are plenty of poor fat ladies like you who would love to change places with the rich fat black lady O.

You must not be black, yes things were bad in those days, but its still not that great for many blacks today. Yes their is freedom to become what ever you want, but the hate for blacks is still there and if you have never been black, you will never know the true experience of being black.

brought on themselves by gross stupidity.

Whine, whine Will- your just proving why everyone is
so tired of you people whining all the time. None of you
people living now has ever been a slave. Your own people
sold you all to the slave traitors. There are a lot of white
people that have gone through the same things that you are
describing. Quit whining and get a job and do something for
        this country.

Things are tough for all people not just blacks. STOP being a race monger like talk show fatty Oprah Winfrey.

At George, it sounds like you are hating on the fact that Oprah is no. 1 Black, no. 2 Rich & no. 3 a little on the heavy side and I do mean a little. These things are part of her assets……..a lot of people like yourself are intimidated by her and I love it!!! Because back in the day things were reversed, but anyway u need a wake up because RACISM still exists!!! And if she has used her wealth and power to tackle racism, then I say GOOD For HER!!!!!!

At Oprah, Go head on…..I applaud your successs and not because of this crazy mess that George is talkingabout. Im referring to all that contributed our society and to all of your charities. I admire u very much. Thanks for being you!!!!!! Oh and by the way, you look marvelous!!!!

      • Charles

That’s one black that has done something.
With very few exceptions I don’t see anything
that the blacks have contributed to society.
Tell Oprah to take her money and shove it.
Maybe she can find a wrinkle to shove it in.

      • George Hirst

Obviously you are a colored person as well?

  • Julie

George your comments are disgusting as you probably are!!

“Winfrey strategically diffused that situation instead of causing a public uproar.” Seriously? Oprah made sure the WHOLE WORLD knew that she was disrespected by some lowly store clerk. Oprah has transcended any race and gender classification and is way up there in the stratosphere of the “entitled mega-rich”.

I wish you people would quit saying that blacks
are discriminated against. Opera was not discriminated
against just because the sales clerk did not know who she
was. She is getting as bad as Jessie Jackson and all
Sharpton running around stirring up trouble. I don’t see
any way in she which was discriminated against.
I you use to respect her but she shown self to be just like
the other black trash except for the money.
