  • Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Rachel Dratch recently enjoyed a playdate with all of their kids in New York. The funny ladies–all Saturday Night Live alumni–had a blast this summer. Fey spent the summer on Long Island where she starred in an upcoming film with both Poehler and Rudolph. Fey and Dratch live in New York City anyway, so the logistics just made sense.

Tina Fey shared news of their antics when she chatted with yet another SNL alum–Seth Meyers–during her appearance on his show, Late Night With Seth Meyers, on Wednesday.

“It was actually so lovely, because Maya and Amy live in L.A. most of the year…[costar Rachel] Dratch and I live here,” she explained. “While we were making this movie, our kids all got to play with each other, which was like, the best little rascals. Just the cutest.”

Meyers, who was incidentally present for these epic playdates, added, “It’s very easy to pick out–you know exactly which SNL mom the kids belong to. [There’s] like big Poehler-Arnett face, and then Eli Dratch is like that big. Then like, four Mayas… the Mayas are so cool. Mine are just two, like, floating eyebrows.”

Couldn’t you almost imagine this making an epic sitcom? Just imagine the funny ladies of SNL with their kids–and all the crazy–and yes, irreverent–things kids do. The reactions of moms like Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph would be beyond priceless.

Tina Fey has two daughters, Alice and Penelope, who are nine and three, respectively. Poehler has four and five-year-old sons named Archie and Abel. Rachel Dratch has a four-year-old son named Eli, and Rudolph has four kids –eight-year-old Pearl, four-year-old Lucille, three-year-old Jack, and 13-month-old Minnie. Maya Rudolph clearly wins in the numbers game.

Wouldn’t you like to get an invite to the next Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Rachel Dratch playdate–even if you have to sit on the sidelines as a quiet observer?
