Tia Mowry wants to set the record straight over recent reports that she is in a feud with Charlize Theron.

The Sister, Sister star and Theron reportedly had a bit of a run-in at a SoulCycle class in July. Mowry allegedly told In Touch magazine she tried to befriend the Oscar-winning actress without much success.

“She wasn’t very nice to me,” Mowry told In Touch Weekly. “I said ‘Hi,’ and she actually rolled her eyes and said, ‘Oh my God.’ I wasn’t over-the-top. I know how to approach another celebrity. Charlize was just mean. I’m just being honest.”

Following that initial story, more news surfaced that Theron apparently attempted to have Mowry banned from class.

However, according to a source for E! News, the rumors are all false.

“This is totally fabricated and completely not true,” said the source.

This confirms Mowry’s assertions to E! last week that the incident was “blown out of proportion.”

“I do not know her,” she said. “I do not know Charlize. I absolutely love her, she’s my “Woman Crush Wednesday,” you can even see it on my Instagram! I’m obsessed with her, I love her, but it was definitely blown out of proportion. So that’s all I’m going to say about that.”

Mowry currently stars as Stephanie Phillips on the Nickelodeon series Instant Mom. As for Theron, she has plenty of films in the works, including Dark Places alongside Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult and Chloe Grace Moretz.

She knows how to approach another celebrity? Perhaps she should recognize that whatever she thinks her “celebrity” is, it pales in comparison to Theron.

So that makes Theron better, or more important?

      • eryche

In my humble opinion, both. But I agree with Mona that Theron could have at least acknowledged Mowry with a return greeting. Common courtesy.

Just because Charlize is white, she has to be right? It doesn’t cost a dime to show common courtesy and speak when spoken to? I see home training has went out the window for Americans.

      • eryche

White? WTF? I’m with you on the common courtesy thing, but why you’re pulling the race card I’ve no clue.

Black woman walks into a spin class and whitey just be sizing her up…thinks the black woman got a lotta flow ’cause she be dealin’ drugs or playin’ WNBA basketball, ain’t that right?

Tia and her twin Tamara have been successful in show business for as long as or possibly longer than Charlize. Just because YOU don’t know who she is doesn’t mean that the BILLIONS of other people on this planet don’t.

      • eryche

I know who she is, but one does not necessarily have to be talented to be successful in Hollywood.

hollywood spin, play nice, don’t let the family (hollywood family) secrets out………
    I call b^**%^$%$#@.

I think Theron started as a model from South Africa.

Love Tia, and her sister. But thinking now that if this woman is really her woman crush……she had better choose someone else more worthy. This witch trying to have another person banned from the cycling class is way too much over the top for me. Take her own skank butt to another class if she doesn’t like Tia being there.

Tia and Tamera are unique in their own ways. Charlize is unique in her own way. This just goes to show even celebrities, professional athletes, millionaires etc…are just like us. The only difference is the amt of money in their banking accts, their notoriety, cameras in their faces all day/night. They are humans so they do what humans do: argue, bicker, fight, drugs, etc.
Robin Williams just committed suicide and though it has nothing to do with this story, we need to put things in perspective and stop holding celebrities to such a high standard we dont expect them to be normal. This has nothing to do w/race, this is a cat-fight btwn 2 successful women that was blown out of porportion by media. So what they argued, who cares! As a country, we have bigger fish to fry. Like battling depression, drugs, homeless women/men/children etc, assisting needy veterans, educating our children to be in a competitive economic mkt for the USA.
Argue on ladies, just agree to disagree, be peaceful about it, be fair. Then make up by spitting in your hands then shake. Lol
