Well, I have ALL of the Stooge episodes on DVDs. And this trailer made me LAUGH (“Don’t forget to dot the I’s”). Don’t know what the problem is except perhaps that they are so original Moe, Larry and Curly oriented that they want to see them resurrected somehow. Trailers are seldom indicative of what the movie will be like. I have been to some real rotten tomatoes as it were where the trailer was awesome. So.. ’nuff said. I’m definitely going to “waste” the 8 bucks and two hours to see it regardless. Remember, even the originals had some stinker episodes.

It’s well cast. Anyone can see that. The big names would not have made this a success. These guys look, sound and act very much like the originals. The problem is slapstick was borderline unfunny in the 40′s and 50′s. (Yes and the Stooges stretched all the way to the 60′s and it was a stretch!) The Stooges were also not the Marx Brothers, very different levels of talent and the MB’s were Vaudeville and clever.

To recreate a genre that was iffy in it’s heyday was the mistake. A well done remake of something that didn’t demand a remake. If this movie was more biographical in nature it might have stood a chance. But that would have taken some research. Oops!

What the heck does twitter know about the infamous 3 stooges. I just watched the trailer and was in stitches. You have to be a true stooges fan to appreciate what has been put together here. I will be one of the first to go see this movie this spring and will probably need a diaper from pissing my pants in laughter.
